Inspired by the young climate movement, Jane Fonda organizes weekly demonstrations in Washington DC. She has been arrested by police every Friday for the past month.

Last Friday, Rosanna Arquette and Catherine Keener were also arrested along with Fonda as they conducted an improvised press conference inside the US Senate. Previously, the demonstrations took place outside the congress building.

In a video from the demonstration, Fonda, Arquette and Keener together with several other protesters are seen singing "We Shall Not Be Moved" and This Land is Your Land. Several protesters were arrested when they did not want to be removed from the scene. It reports The Hollywood Reporter.

May miss Stockholm Film Festival

Rosanna Arquette is currently a guest at the Stockholm Film Festival which starts on Wednesday. On Friday, she will be awarded the Stockholm Achievement Award.

- Right now we do not know if Rosanna Arquette can get to Stockholm because of the arrest. The idea is that she should be here already tomorrow, and go to the gala premiere, but right now it does not look like getting lost. Then it's her big night on Friday when we award her the Stockholm Achievement Award - then we really hope that she has come out of the fine, says Git Scheynius, festival manager at Stockholm's film festival.

During his career, Arquette has starred in some 70 films. She was one of the first women to speak out about Harvey Weinstein, which became the starting point for the big metoo movement.
