Russian authorities have opened an urgent investigation after a video showed a "disqualified" girl sitting in the driver's seat and driving a commercial airliner.
According to the Russian "Siberian Times", it was in late August, but the video has only appeared recently.
A girl named Anna posted the video on her own Instagram page and attached the video with a comment: "It was an incredibly wonderful experience."
Shortly after the video was published, the account disappeared from the Instagram platform permanently. The video shows a 20-year-old girl sitting in the cockpit and trying to control an Airoro commercial aircraft, following only the instructions of the pilot, who was telling her "back, right. Now to the left." For her part, she was asking him about air navigation matters.
So far, it has not been confirmed whether there were any passengers on board. According to preliminary investigations, the plane had taken off from the city of Yakutsk towards the far eastern city of Batagay.
For its part, Airoro Aviation confirmed that it, in turn, has opened an internal investigation to verify the truthfulness of the video, although the incident really occurred on one of its aircraft. There are doubts that these materials have anything to do with the airline's aviation activities in passenger services.
