Around 1 o'clock on the 2nd, another climber found a man falling unconsciously on a mountain trail at an altitude of about 2400m in the head of the Kurobe River in the Northern Alps.

The police were notified and the man was rescued by the prefecture fire and disaster prevention helicopter.

According to police, the death was Norio Ikeda (72) in Ome City, Tokyo, and the cause of death is believed to be hypothermia.

The place where Ikeda was found is a mountain trail from the mountain villa near Mt. Renka on the Toyama / Nagano / Gifu prefectural border to Unnohira Sanso on the Toyama side.

From the remaining memos, Mr. Ikeda is climbing alone by the schedule from the 25th to the 31st of last month, and is believed to have been lost after leaving Sorokudake on the 27th of last month.

According to the police, Mr. Ikeda was wearing a winter jacket such as a thin down jacket.

The police filed a mountain climbing notification and called for the mountain to be fully equipped to prevent the cold during this period when the temperature drops.
