Five people have been killed in a village in the Indian state of Assam in a wild elephant attack dubbed “Osama bin Laden” by residents, after damaging their rice fields.
The victims died after suffering severe injuries caused by run over them, prompting local authorities to launch units to control the elephant in the forest «Rongoli».
One villager said bin Laden had previously attacked villagers, killing people and destroying their crops. According to the newspaper «Daily Mail» British.
"We have not yet made a decision on how to deal with the animal," an official said. "There are some suggestions that he should be drugged and taken to a forest with no human dwellings."
