German police are searching for thieves who broke into a house and stole what could cause their immediate death.

According to Deutsche Welle, the thieves who managed to open a safe in one of Hanover's homes stole four bottles of perfume, but the contents of the bottles are not a perfume but a very toxic substance to insect and rodents, and can kill humans directly.

In Germany, parathion is known as the “poison of the protectors”. The least amount is dangerous to humans if inhaled or swallowed, and can reach inside the body through human skin.

Since the middle of last week, the thieves have been cut off, and the German authorities are not yet aware of what happened to them or what they did with the parathion bottles. The police have circulated appeals and awareness campaigns to those who find the loot, and demanded the thieves to be careful.
