In a horrific crime, a man shot dead his wife in an Egyptian governorate after preparing food other than the one he had asked for.

Egyptian security investigations revealed that the defendant residing in the village of Dahtoura, which is affiliated to the city of Zefta in the province of Gharbia, killed his wife, because she prepared for him "mallow", according to local media.

In the investigation, the defendant confessed to killing his wife, because he was asked on the day of the incident to prepare lunch, and asked her to prepare a "okra meal", but was surprised by the preparation of "mallow".

There was an altercation between the couple, which ended, when the husband shot her because of the dispute over lunch, and then attempted suicide, before being arrested.
