Do friends with questions about the pay gap or the basic income always come to you? Do you have a nose for news and good pen? Then we have a great place for you on the economy editor of the largest news site in the Netherlands.

What are you going to do?

As an economy editor you are a permanent force on the economy editor of NU.nl, which also consists of a coordinator, two junior editors and various freelancers. You find your own news, write several stories daily and set off to report.

Who are we looking for?

An enthusiastic journalist who is full of energy and likes to grab the phone. You enjoy hanging out on the phone with entrepreneurs and directors and don't shy away from quarterly figures and annual accounts.

We are looking for someone who has preferably worked in journalism for a few years and who has completed a course at least at a college level. Do you not meet those requirements, but are you perfect for this job? Then convince me in your motivation.

What do we offer?

A challenging job in which you can learn a lot through contact with colleagues from other editors and others, in turn, can also learn from you. You work with an ambitious editorial team that also finds it important that there is time for relaxation.

The position falls on scale 5 of the collective labor agreement DJ and is for 40 hours a week. You will of course receive a laptop and train subscription or travel allowance from us. The editors of NU.nl work in Hoofddorp in an office building right next to the station. Sometimes you will also work in the evening or during the weekend.

You should know about NU.nl

With eight million monthly users, NU.nl is the largest news site in the Netherlands. We are always on the move and developments are moving fast. So you get enough opportunities to develop yourself and to contribute to new projects together with other colleagues.

We work on an open floor where there is a lot of contact between various editors and collaboration is encouraged. The atmosphere is informal. Everyone is encouraged to speak up and think along.
