The MALFA label, founded by musician and producer Maxim Fadeev, broke the contract with all artists. Fadeev said this in a video message published on the company's official channel on YouTube.

“A lot of talk is already going on. Fans want to know what's going on. Here I will say in the first person what is happening. MALFA terminated the contract with all artists of the label. Without exception. At the same time, we gave all the content to the artists for free use. With the exception of only two artists with whom there are legal disputes, ”said Fadeev.

According to the producer, such changes in the label occurred for the first time. This is due to the fact that MALFA "has grown to incredible volumes and sizes that were almost impossible to control," the musician explained.

“I want to completely restructure the company and its essence, that is, an internal message. I understood only one thing: it may not be a company - a mass market, as I had (we had more than 30 artists). It will be a very small company, very capacious, with a limited number of inputs. That is, it will be an absolutely exclusive, very expensive mass market company, ”he said.

Fadeev added that the restructured label "will offer the market one or two artists a year." He sees the main task of the company in working for the result.

“The company will be set up for a very clear, distinct work for one or two artists a year. We will be able to better focus and deliver a better product than we had. To all my artists I wish you all the best. I absolutely sincerely wish you to find yourself, to find what you dream about and what you strive for. And we will go further. All the best to everyone, ”the musician summed up.

Among the now former label artists are Serebro, Molly, Tereza and Isaiah. With the singer Nargiz Fadeev terminated the contract in September.

Fadeev’s break with Nargiz was accompanied by a scandal: in one of the interviews, the singer said that she had left the producer, since the label’s employees did not do it at all. In addition, the artist complained that in MALFA everything was controlled not by Fadeev, but by Olga Seryabkina, ex-soloist of the Silver group, who is now acting under the pseudonym MOLLY.

Isaiah has already announced on his Instagram page that he intends to engage in the development and promotion of his own creative association called “Room 84”.

“I am no longer an artist on the MALFA music label. I express my gratitude to all the people with whom I happened to work. Special thanks to Fadeev Maxim Alexandrovich for the experience gained. This is priceless, ”he wrote on a social network.

No labels needed

Fadeev’s statement was commented by former member of the Serebro group, Polina Favorskaya. In an interview with Channel Five, she noted that she considers the position of the musician justified.

“I hope they do something new. That everything will turn out, everything will be fine. It seems to me that labels in their usual form no longer make sense. Everything went to digital sites. There is no problem for musicians to upload songs to iTunes themselves and to advance. Therefore, I understand the decision of Maxim Alexandrovich, ”Favorskaya explained.

The fact that music labels have lost relevance, agrees composer and producer Igor Matvienko. “Probably tired of the artists. And in general, labels have long become obsolete, ”he said in an interview with 360 channel.

Fadeev’s decision was supported by another producer, Joseph Prigogine. In his opinion, some artists begin to be arrogant as soon as they become popular.

“From their own greatness, from the recognition of society, including the producer who created them, they lose their self-control,” he explained to the 360 channel.

For this reason, Prigozhin prefers to deal with only one artist - his wife Valeria. He added that Maxim Fadeev is an outstanding musician, but like all producers, he has a rather complicated character.
