The 38th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair, which will be held in the year of the coronation of Sharjah, the World Book Capital, is celebrated today by the public of literature and culture. To participate in the cultural event, which will continue until 9 November, at the Expo Center Sharjah, under the slogan «Open a book .. open minds». On this occasion, Arab and Emirati intellectuals and writers praised the great cultural efforts led by the Emirate of Sharjah, in the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, stressing its great and clear position in the development of the Arab and international cultural and knowledge landscape.

In the year of the coronation of Sharjah «Capital of the World Book», participate in the activities of the exhibition, which is organized this year under the slogan: «Open a book .. open minds» 2000 publishers from 81 Arab and foreign countries, and the Republic of Mexico guest of honor.

The American media show will also host Steve Harvey, the Oscar-winning director for the music of his famous slumdog millionaire, Sampuran Karala-Golzar, and Indian poet Vikram Seth.

Some 173 writers and novelists from 68 Arab and foreign countries will participate in the exhibition, offering 987 diverse events distributed among cultural, children's and culinary activities, as well as a range of theatrical works, in addition to comic-story drawings and social media.

The exhibition will host Algerian novelist Wassini Araj, Iraqi poet and novelist Inam Kajji, Kuwaiti novelist Buthaina Al-Essa, Tunisian poet Jamila Mejri and Saudi poet Mohamed Sakran, the star of the Million Poet program.
