Once Vitya Myasnik (Mikhail Porechenkov) was a legend in the criminal world, but his priorities have changed today. The butcher began to lead a measured life on the Dream eco-farm in the Tver Region and stopped killing not only people - even animals. Now the rural idyll with Vitya is shared by a bull named Bro, whom the former bandit is trying to train.

Once, the authority of Arthur (Igor Zhizhikin) visits the main character. Because of him, the Butcher has to take on the old - bandits force the former accomplice to overexpend money on an offshore account with a tricky password. But when the time comes to give money, Vitya finds himself in an awkward situation: after an accidental fall of a horseshoe on his head, he forgets the code word.

Arthur and his accomplices consider torture to be the best remedy for memory loss. From them Vitya is saved by the only real bro - that same bull. Unfortunately, hiding from bandits in a mail carriage, the hero goes (or rather, calls in) too far: the composition takes him to the northern town called Polyarny.

Time in the Polar seemed to freeze somewhere in the nineties. This is evidenced by the interior of local restaurants (at first the Butcher thinks that the “retro style” of the cafe was specially recreated) and wild orders by the standards of the new millennium. In particular - racketeering.

Vitya quickly gets to know Bolt (Ivan Okhlobystin), the local authority, and his unsightly henchmen, who create more problems for the boss than they solve: they behave like clowns and can mistakenly beat their own leader. No less problems for the inhabitants of Polyarny are caused by bureaucratic chaos led by the mayor (Yan Tsapnik).

Vitaly Vitya will undertake to help the townspeople restore justice, and those, in turn, will not refuse him a warm welcome: the psychologist Polina (Katerina Shpitsa) together with the Butcher will remember the unfortunate password from the account, and other local people will help him find clothes, equipment for communication with the outside world and refuge.

Behind the Arctic Circle is not easy. Here are long polar nights, and snowdrifts on the chest, which no one is going to clean. There are two ways to support communication with the “big land”: occasionally a mail train arrives, and a helicopter for shift workers arrives a little more often. Therefore, people here have their own joys incomprehensible to residents of megacities. For example - jam from friends from the south or winter things that serve several generations at once: a grandfather's coat and great-grandfather's skis. But still, the main wealth of these places is people, therefore, even the stranger Vita, the inhabitants of the Polar are in their own way.

Nevertheless, the main character hurries back to the Tver region: there his best friend is waiting for him - the bull Bro, who was also in trouble. “They will give it to canned food - fight,” Vitya warned the pet shortly before the arrival of the Arthur gang. However, the Bro saved the Butcher, and did not give himself an insult, and on the whole turned out to be so quick-witted that a small storyline was dedicated to his adventures after being separated from the owner.

It turned out that the training was not wasted. The bull skillfully scattered the bandits who were going to kill Vitya, after which he went to sow panic in the city and terrify the local policemen, and then embarked on a strategic retreat into the forest. Bro misadventures, which can now be learned from the media, stimulate Victor to return home.

According to the authors of the project, the idea of confronting the heroes performed by Okhlobystin and Porechenkov arose even at the time of the production of Interns. "Polar" was created over five years. During this time, the actors repeatedly visited the north, and the project was replaced by several directors. Production was completed under the leadership of Mikhail Starchak.

“When (the producers of the series. - RT ) Nikishov and Fedorovich called me on a project, they described it briefly -“ a wonderful caste. ” This is a pure truth. Literally after the first shifts with each of the actors that I did not know before, I was glad that I was on the team of the Polar series, ”the director recalls.

Svetlana Listova and Anton Bogdanov, known as Antokha from “Real Boys”, are also involved in central roles, which are familiar to viewers from the comedy “Beetles”. Victor Bychkov (“Features of the National Hunt”) spoke in his usual role as a villager. Also in the frame will appear Vladimir Epifantsev and Jan Tsapnik.

Actors note that for them, "Polar" has become a positive experience. "The series" Polar "- about the lively and vivid feelings that are in the northern people. We shot it not just with enthusiasm, but in great love, ”said Katerina Shpitsa. “This is a comedy, but it also has lyrics, as well as heroes who embody all of us with the necessary concepts of friendship, devotion and duty.”
