Anne Holmes, director of the fiction of France Televisions, came to talk Tuesday morning, at the microphone of Philippe Vandel, on Europe 1, the success of series "Captain Marleau" or "The Purple Rivers".

INTERVIEW

The fictions of France Televisions are doing well. Series like Captain Marleau or The Crimson Rivers sometimes offer themselves the luxury of beating the flagship programs of other chains, like Dance with the stars , diffused on Saturday evening on TF1.

"The hearings are going very well, we are not going to come back on Captain Marleau and his 7 million viewers last Tuesday but we were obviously very happy," said Anne Holmes, director of the fiction of France Televisions, which was the guest of Philippe Vandel, Tuesday morning, in Culture media , on Europe 1.

The next episode of Captain Marleau , aired Tuesday night, has two personalities in his cast. Kad Merad and André Manoukian will appear on the screen alongside Corinne Masiero. "There is also another episode whose filming begins right now in Guadeloupe, with Virginie Ledoyen," enthuses the director of fiction.

"I think we need to decrypt our society"

The change of tone will be clear Wednesday night, since France Televisions will offer a TV movie called State of Emergency , which will be followed by a debate. Despite the topics discussed, sometimes difficult, audiences do not weaken. "I think we need to decrypt our society," notes Anne Holmes. "We started with La Consolation and Flavie Flament, which came back to the abuses she suffered, but we also dealt with topics such as grossophobia, denials of pregnancy, and incest."

"These fictions are carried by very strong actors and are followed by a debate to decipher the world," says Anne Holmes. "We are here to spark debate." An upcoming fiction, broadcast on November 19, will deal with the right of the child.
