The Ministry of Tolerance is preparing to organize the activities of «tolerance flowers» in Dubai during the period from 22 to 24 November next, within the activities of the National Festival for Tolerance and Humanity Brothers 2019, through which the ministry aims to produce the largest natural flower carpet in the world, and is expected to contain the design of the flower carpet On the slogans of the National Festival for Tolerance, features of the most famous landmarks of the UAE.
The ministry plans to have a larger area of natural flowers than two large football stadiums, with more than 5,000 volunteers from 150 nationalities and communities living in the UAE, as well as a variety of theatrical and artistic performances over the three days dedicated to this initiative.
The Director General of the Office of the Minister of Tolerance, Afra al-Sabri, said that the ministry's plan focuses on breaking the current record by reaching an area of 210 meters in length and 120 meters in width, making it the largest carpet of natural flowers ever, in the Festival City in Dubai, stressing that the ministry has chosen A distinctive design of the carpet of flowers to carry the message of originality of the UAE heritage, in addition to the most important landmarks in the country, such as Sheikh Zayed Mosque, and the tower of creation, and other features, as well as the emblem of the National Festival of Tolerance and Humanity Fraternity, stressing that the carpet will be drawn first on the land allocated for it, then The volunteers shall Laid flowers according to their colors in their designated places, under the supervision of a specialized team, and in the presence of a committee of the Guinness book of record, where the ministry is keen to enter this carpet of natural flowers to the encyclopedia. Sabri added that the event will last three days, and many institutions, schools and universities will be invited to participate in this celebration, which offers entertainment, artistic and heritage programs on a theater designed for this purpose, and on the last day will be given flowers to all volunteers, and will send quantities to school students, As a gift that reminds them to participate in the National Festival of Tolerance, noting that the choice of the place was based on its proximity to the airport, allowing those coming to or departing the UAE to enjoy the general view of the natural flower carpet, and the features of the state features and slogans of tolerance.
