With the participation of more than 500 Arab and foreign publishers, the 9th edition of the Publishers Conference organized by the Sharjah Book Authority kicked off yesterday at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ahead of the 38th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair.

The three-day conference will host a series of panel discussions, seminars and training workshops that will host a group of specialists in the Arab and foreign publishing sectors, with the aim of creating an opportunity to mobilize Arab and international efforts to improve the publishing sector and provide a platform to talk about the most important professional programs in the world in terms of buying and selling. Ahmed Bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of Sharjah Book Authority, said: “Through the conference, we are keen to provide everything necessary to improve the publishing process, a development industry that has become a tributary of global economies. The Sharjah Book Authority held yesterday the 6th training course for Arab publishers, in cooperation with New York University, with the participation of more than 200 Arab publishers, on the sidelines of the preparations for the 38th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair From 30th to 9th of November.
