The new Disney Plus streaming service is in the process of developing a second part of the 1993 film Hocus Pocus . At that time, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy played the lead roles. Disney hopes to be able to move them to become part of the cast again. Collider reports this Thursday.

The script for the new film is written by Jen D'Angelo who is known from the television series Happy Together, LA to Vegas and Workaholics .

Two years ago, Disney Channel made an attempt to make a television film based on the original Hocus Pocus film with a new cast. In the end, that project did not get off the ground. Midler said at the time that he did not intend to participate in the remake. In the 1993 comedy, she played a witch, who returns to an American town after three hundred years with her two sisters (Najimy and Parker).

Disney + will be definitively released after a trial period that is currently running on 12 November. From that moment the service costs 6.99 euros per month and the offer is expanded with new productions that can only be viewed via the streaming service.
