Restrooms up to 25 minutes from the start of the exam are absent. School rules are being considered. Shiga High School October 24th 4:51

In a private high school in Shiga Prefecture, it was found that there was a school rule that if you go to the toilet before 25 minutes have passed since the start of the exam, you will be absent from school. In Shiga Prefecture, the rule of deducting points by 10% when going to the bathroom during the exam in another high school is a problem, and the school apologizes to the students.

According to the private Hikone General High School in Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture, school rules have been established for at least 10 years before going to the toilet before 25 minutes have passed since the start of the regular exam.

This is clearly stated in the student notebook and posted on the blackboard during the exam, so if you apply for poor physical condition in advance, you can leave the room or take the exam in a separate room.

One student was absent from the school this year, but it was considered that credits could be earned for repairs and submission of assignment reports.

“The purpose was to prevent cheating and focus on the exam, but I would like to consider the human rights of the students in the future,” said the principal of Hikone General High School.

High school is considering the abolition of this school rule from the next regular examination.

In Shiga Prefecture, even at the prefectural Hachiman Technical High School in Omihachiman City, the rule that the points are deducted by 10% when going to the toilet during the exam is a problem, and the school apologizes to the students.
