Sharjah Media City (Shams) has announced the awarding of a number of awards to the winners of the UAE Art Experience Project, the first project of its kind to produce the first Emirati-made Arabic film in the Arab world.

The awards will be distributed during the "Shams" Film Forum, which will be held during the seventh and eighth of December, as more than 32 teams compete to shoot 29 feature films. The UAE Art Awards will vary from collective to individual, with a total of AED 200,000.

For his part, Chairman of the Sharjah Media City (Shams), Dr. Khalid Omar Al Madfa, said that the awards aim to motivate and honor the creators to continue their way in the professionalism of film work.

“The awards will be awarded to the winning works according to the decisions of the organizing committee, but the real rewards are the experiences of the contestants, participants, courses and talent hiring,” said Dr. Khulood Abu Homs, CEO of UAE Art Experience.
