The famous Italian actress Sophia Loren received the European Culture Award in the Austrian capital of Vienna.
The 84-year-old Hollywood star received the literary prize for her career at the public opera. She received the award from her son, Maestro Carlo Ponte Jr. Next to her friends and help those in need.
Lauren wore a red evening dress and stepped into the theater with the help of others, because she had been limping since her fall at home and could no longer walk well, she admitted.
"Today I am very, very touched," said the movie legend.
Other artists received the award.
