For many decades, the Americans have developed a well-known and unpleasant tradition to shift responsibility for the actions of their own power, if it creates a threatening situation, to anyone, but you cannot see the true culprits at arm's length. Democratic Senator Bob Menendez proposed imposing sanctions against Russia and Turkey - what do you think, for what? The Kurdish population in Syria in areas adjacent to Turkey has been threatened with ethnic cleansing.

This is partly true. Turkey, through the hands of volunteers, is conducting a military operation here specifically against the Kurds. Now it is, however, temporarily suspended by agreement with Washington, but will resume tomorrow. In this situation, there is one important circumstance. The Kurds were in danger of reprisal due to the fact that Donald Trump decided to withdraw from the areas of their residence the American military contingent, which for many years served as a protective umbrella for the Syrian region of Al Jazeera or, in the understanding of the Kurds, their independent autonomy of Rojava.

Now you can forget about independence. In order not to become victims of ethnic cleansing, the Kurds launched into their own territory the Syrian army, which actually regained control of most of Al-Jazeera. Objectively, Russia, supporting the power of Bashar al-Assad, has politically benefited from the decision of the American president.

In fact, Moscow has long been offering the Kurds a choice in favor of Damascus in order to provide themselves with protection. However, the Kurds firmly believed that the Americans intend to ensure their independence with their presence for the long term. But their hopes were shattered. Actually, such a story is not news. The United States is abandoning its allies in trouble as easily and simply as they promise at first reliable and impeccable support.

Moscow did absolutely nothing to ensure that the Syrian army was able to return a significant part of the territories. What is happening in Al Jazeera is the responsibility of the White House alone. Why did the distinguished senator decide that sanctions should be imposed against Russia and Turkey? With Turkey, everything else went: still, the pro-Turkish forces advanced deep into the territory of the Kurds. But Moscow in general here is neither a dream nor a spirit.

The problem, in fact, is not the Kurds and the danger looming over them. Obviously, without even lifting a finger, Russia today becomes the most influential and strong player in the Middle East, for which Donald Trump should personally be thanked.

It is this increased influence that is the real cause for concern. Russia should be punished simply because no one will challenge the status of a power on which the world order depends. America, after the collapse of the USSR, believed that only she alone could play this role on the planet.

The Americans were never afraid to be ridiculous and could afford any absurd statements and actions. The weight of the American state was too high for someone to point out to them the absurdity and perverse logic of their actions. However, now that America is rapidly losing control of the situation in the world, including thanks to Trump's isolationist policies, the idiotic is starting to look exactly like the idiotic. To propose imposing sanctions against Russia because the United States left the Kurds at the mercy of fate is such utter nonsense that only those who for a long time considered themselves to be the masters of the planet and could carry anything at all on this basis.

The Americans always wanted to spit on diplomatic ethics. Nevertheless, someday they will have to master this science. It is easy to allow yourself to carry nonsense when almost everything depends on you and everyone is afraid of you. But now the situation is different. In the West there is no former unity. Europe has many claims to the United States, and their political paths diverge. The world has again become multipolar, and causeless arrogance looks like primitive rudeness without resources. And this is not only disgusting, but also funny. When they laugh at you, it means that your power has come to an end.
