Two men killed in fire near an apartment near JR Omiya Station Saitama Oct. 22 14:45

Early on the morning of the 22nd, two men died because of a fire burning in a room in Omiya Ward, Saitama City. The police are urgently verifying the identity of the two and investigating the cause of the fire.

Before 6:00 am on the 22nd, a man walking nearby found a smoke coming out of the 4th floor room of a 5-story condominium in Omiya Ward, Saitama City, and reported it to the fire department.

Eleven fire engines came out and were extinguished. The fire was extinguished by burning a part of the room about 30 minutes after the report, but two men were found in an unconscious state.

Two people were taken to the hospital but died soon. According to the police, one was in their 20s and 40s, the other was in their 40s and 60s. The possibility of carbon poisoning is high.
