In conjunction with the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Pink Caravan, the Breast Cancer Awareness Initiative of the Society of Friends of Cancer Patients, took five cancer patients on a flight over Dubai to renew their hope and optimism and motivate them to continue their treatment journey.

The trip, which was carried out in cooperation with SeaWings Seaplane Tour, included a tour over Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame, World Islands, and others, and came from the convoy's belief in the importance of the psychological aspect in the response of patients to treatment.

In addition to supporting patients, the trip aimed to raise awareness of the importance of regular screening for early detection of cancer. SeaWing will continue its tours with seaplane titled 'Pink Ribbon', over Dubai throughout October, to support and encourage survivors and patients. Airplanes are pink ribbons upon check-in. The company will also distribute the tapes to its employees and visitors in all its offices.

Dr Sawsan Al Madi, Director General of the Cancer Patients' Friends Committee, said: “The discovery of cancer represents a dramatic turning point in the patient's life, and the beginning of a difficult and arduous journey filled with psychological stress caused by the side effects of the disease. Especially with regard to the external appearance of the patient ».
