As recently as December last year, Bengt Feldreich gave his voice to new features in "Kalle Duck and his friends wish Merry Christmas".
He had done this every Christmas since the program began to be broadcast in Sweden. He was the voice of the narrator who guided the viewers through the program.
This year, for the first time, we will be forced to celebrate Christmas without new elements by Bengt Feldreich.
- It will be really weird. We are sorry. It is he who sings and he who talks in the program and everything. It will be very strange not to record him this year, says Lotta Ulfung, project manager for dubbing at SVT Interational.
How this is to be resolved now is unclear. No one else has been the voice of the narrator in the strongly tradition-bound program.
- This is going to be a discussion we have to have. I don't know how the thoughts are going, says Lotta Ulfung.
