Invited Saturday to speak at the microphone of Europe 1, Sylvie Vartan says that his son David Hallyday is quite capable to obtain the moral right of the work of his father, the rocker Johnny Hallyday.

INTERVIEW

"David is legitimate, Johnny said in front of camera and in videos," says singer Sylvie Vartan, mother of David Hallyday, interviewed by Isabelle Morizet, on Europe 1. She was invited to speak about moral rights from the work of Johnny Hallyday.

"David is a musician, he is quite capable of preserving this moral right"

Two days ago, Johnny Hallyday's widow, Laeticia Hallyday, issued a statement in which she said she gave up appealing the decision regarding the rocker's legacy. She invited the singer's two children, David Hallyday and Laura Smet, to dialogue and appeasement.

However, both parties want to keep the moral right of the work of the rocker, which will allow them to decide future projects around the star and in particular the release of posthumous albums. "David was born a musician, he was a drummer at birth, it's a passion also at home, he is quite capable of preserving this moral right", insists Sylvie Vartan.
