Cords against everyone and “analog artists”: what was the second stage of blind listening to the show “Voice” remembered

On October 18, Channel Two aired the second edition of the eighth season of the Voice show. Mentors are just starting to fill places in their teams, that is, according to Dmitry Nagiyev, "the four divers continue their dive into the depths of talent."

Rinat Albikov’s classic vocals on the example of Italian compositions “Torna a Surriento” and “Luna mezz'o mare” provided the participant with a place in the team of Polina Gagarina. His candidacy was also approved by Sergei Shnurov - but Konstantin Meladze recalled that last season his ward from Italy performed one of these songs, and added that the composition was “fed up” with him. This fact could not be ignored by Sergei Shnurov, who unflatteringly commented on the composer's own works: “It happens that you go to a karaoke drink, sit quietly in silence - it’s not so, Meladze’s song (sounds. - RT ),” the musician commented.

The voice of Yves Nabiev, who presented the hit “California Dreamin '”, charmed Sergei Shnurov and Konstantin Meladze from the first notes - and soon all the mentors turned to the stage. Polina Gagarina promised the singer not to interfere with his creative development and make a duet. Meladze admitted that Nabiyev had nothing to teach, and hinted that he was missing a producer. Valery Syutkin proposed to provide the singer with motivation, and Sergei Shnurov designed his “election campaign” briefly: “Among all those represented, I am the best.” And it turned out that Nabiev came to the project precisely to the latter.

Anastasia Yust, who performed the song “Echo of Love” to the poems of Robert Rozhdestvensky, smiled on luck in the face of three mentors: Shnurov, Syutkin and Meladze. As a result of a fierce humorous bickering of mentors, the vocalist decided to join the team of Valery Syutkitna.

Sergei Shnurov again could not restrain his emotions: “Someone likes crystal, someone likes sand, which is already pouring,” he said.

“Crystal is my ancient nickname so you know,” Syutkin retorted.

Dmitry Nagiyev, who was following the musicians' clash, considered that it would be useful to publish a book with quotes from mentors.

The audience applauded Anton Tokarev with the song “Leave a Light On”. Sergey Shnurov took him to his team (the participant chose between the ex-leader of Leningrad and Polina Gagarina). The performance was highly praised by Dmitry Nagiyev.

“Penetrating, touching, tasteful,” said the host.

27-year-old Stanislav Moshkin, by his own admission, is “terrible in his improvisation”. His interpretation of Tima Belorussky’s song “Wet Crosses” made Sergei Shnurov literally drum on the red button and also attracted Valery Syutkin and Polina Gagarina. The participant chose Shnurov as his mentor.

One of the youngest participants in the project was 17-year-old Alana Chochieva. The aspiring singer recently graduated from high school. For the project, she chose a song by Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande “Faith”, which previously sounded in the animated film “St. John's Wort”.

Alana became the second participant in this issue, whose performance was approved by all members of the jury (although Sergey Shnurov pressed the button for Valery Syutkin, who hesitated with a reaction to the performance).

Chochieva decided to continue her participation under the leadership of Polina Gagarina. The mentor admitted that the new ward has a better tessitory than herself (this musical term refers to the pitch of sounds and the range of the artist's voice).

Iva Todorova came to the Voice from the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia. The song "Back To Black" also secured her a place in the team of Polina Gagarina.

Asker Berbekov became the only new member of the team of Konstantin Meladze. The master shared his method of selecting wards: he focuses on the correct performance of several notes that allow you to get an idea about the possibilities of the vocalists.

Of course, a number of contestants dropped out of the competition - however, their performances deserved a generally positive response from their mentors.

Phoniatrist (specialist in the treatment of vocal cords) Ekaterina Osipenko used to provide the perfect sound for other artists, but dreamed of singing from childhood. Her jury did not impress her voice enough, however Polina Gagarina and Sergey Shnurov recognized their doctor right away - Osipenko’s talent came as a complete surprise to the singers.

Vadim Izofatov was especially pleased with the opportunity to perform with the program’s orchestra. Although he did not get the opportunity to continue participating in the project, Valery Syutkin assured the performer that he would not mind such a participant in the team - however, the composition must be performed on higher notes.

Unlucky Julia Mandrico, who was able to very accurately recreate the song Celine Dion "The Power of Love".

Indifferent mentors and left the composition "Sick by you" performed by Andrei Zapetskiy. Konstantin Meladze emphasized that the project has a place for “abnormal people” who bring their own vision to the songs, leaving the comfort zone.

“We need analog artists. Those who have no analogue, understand? Not digital ones that have already been precisely verified, everything is neat, ”Valery Syutkin supported his colleague.
