The festival calls the initiative "50/50 vision". The inspiration comes from the international "5050" project, which promotes increased equality in the film industry.
“Film and motion picture are today the foremost medium for telling stories and opening up new worlds and perspectives. The film creates heroes, role models and emotions in the audience. Therefore, it is extremely important to have a diversity among those who are allowed to create films and whose films are shown. We are not satisfied with half the picture, but want to see the whole world in the film, ”says the festival's artistic director Jonas Holmberg.
