The third edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, from October 18 to November 16, will transform the emirate into the world's premier fitness city starting this weekend. The event allows Dubai residents to take part in the challenge and commit to 30 minutes of sporting activities every day for 30 days. HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, launched the initiative in 2017 to encourage everyone to pursue a more active lifestyle.

The Dubai Fitness Challenge includes a 30-day schedule, which includes diverse experiences and training sessions throughout the city, suitable for all ages, abilities and fitness levels.

This year, two fitness villages have been set up at Festival City Mall and Kite Beach, along with 10 locations and fitness centers. The challenge includes over 40 events and 5,000 city-wide training sessions. This year's Dubai Fitness Challenge is not limited to sporting activities. The Dubai Fitness Challenge teamed up with world-renowned Joe Weeks, the body coach, as he sought to break the Guinness World Record to lead the biggest HIIT endurance gathering on October 26 at Skydive Dubai. All participants aged 18 and above can register for free on the PlatinumList website and complete a 30-minute non-stop workout to participate in the record breaking attempt.

Wicks will join the city's half-marathon sponsored by ME Dubai on Friday 25 October at the Dubai International Financial Center. The marathon runs from the front of the gate building 21.1 kilometers around downtown Dubai.

Improving fitness

The Dubai Fitness Challenge aims to motivate Dubai residents and visitors to improve their fitness level, and to allocate 30 minutes a day of their time to exercise for 30 consecutive days.
