Brut Media will launch four new video series on Facebook, including one in which actor Guillaume Canet will meet farmers to find solutions for responsible and sustainable agriculture.

The video platform Facebook Watch will be enriched with content produced by European media including M6, Tastemade, LADBible and Brut with a show by Guillaume Canet, announced the social network Tuesday on the sidelines of Mipcom, the market for TV programs in Cannes.

The M6 ​​group will publish on Facebook many excerpts of its programs but also bonuses, such as behind-the-scenes images of Top Chef , The Princes of Love or concerts recorded on its radio RTL2. Brut video, which had already announced a show on Watch, will launch four new series of videos led by personalities, including one where the actor Guillaume Canet goes every week to meet farmers to find solutions for agriculture more responsible.

Comedians have also been involved, with Haroun wondering if we can still "laugh at everything", and Fary and Panayotis who open a comedy club in Paris. "This is a new initiative that aims to give total freedom to creators", who already have many subscribers on the social network, said at a press conference Matthew Henick, content manager at Facebook. "Social networks are important to get our viewers, create the link", as for "Incredible talent," said Frédéric de Vincelles, general manager of programs in charge of platforms in the M6 ​​group.

Partnerships with different European media

Producers leave 45% of video advertising revenue on the platform, and can rebroadcast the videos elsewhere. In the United Kingdom, Facebook will offer programs with the gourmet media Tastemade, the viral LADBible and the footsteps Copa90. In Germany, the men's Bunte and entertainment site MySpass also offer programs, such as CiaoPeople in Italy and the talent agency web 2btube in Spain.

If Facebook is resting in Europe on these partners to develop its video offer launched in 2017, the group plans new original programs in the United States, like the launch of the Limetown series on Wednesday , but also live sports competitions, as in India or Latin America.
