The Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority has issued instructions to stop a pilot and his assistant, and refer them for urgent investigation, after circulating a video showing the artist Mohamed Ramadan, driving a civilian passenger plane.


The Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority said on Monday: "After reviewing the video that was circulated through social media sites showing Mohamed Ramadan driving a civilian passenger plane, the authority immediately verified the authenticity of the clip, which turned out to be true. The plane belongs to one of the Egyptian private airlines and will not be disclosed at the moment, and it is not the national airline EgyptAir. "


The Egyptian civil aviation authority added, according to the Egyptian newspaper "Al-Akhbar", that it has issued instructions to stop both the pilot and the assistant pilot from flying, and referring them for urgent investigation in order to commit an act is strictly prohibited in accordance with the rules and instructions of international and Egyptian civil aviation and against aviation safety.


It is noteworthy that the artist Mohamed Ramadan published the video, on Sunday, through his page on the social networking site Facebook, and appeared in it sitting next to the pilot, in the place of the co-pilot.
