The widow of Johnny Hallyday issued a statement Monday on the family vault under construction in St. Barthelemy. She calls for a return to dialogue with the children of the rocker, David and Laura.

"In a desire for appeasement," Laeticia Hallyday committed that David Hallyday and Laura Smet "benefit from information" on the "construction" of a vault to house the coffin of Johnny, transfer disputed by his daughter elder, we learned Monday in a statement of the widow of the rocker forwarded to AFP.

"I wanted to follow the wishes of my husband without trying to hurt neither David nor Laura"

"The local authorities of Saint-Barthélemy are waiting to be able to resume the procedures necessary for the establishment of the vault," says the widow. "David and Laura, fully informed, will be able to attend and participate in these operations without restriction, so nearly two years after his death, Johnny will rest in that place he himself chose."

"Before his disappearance, Johnny chose to establish his last home at the Lorient Marine Cemetery on the island of Saint-Barthélemy and to provide for the construction of a vault.This is a place of peace and quiet. I was determined to follow the wishes of my husband without seeking to hurt either David or Laura in this process, "Laeticia Hallyday concludes in her statement.
