World Mental Health Day falls on 10 October each year, a tradition initiated in 1992 by the World Health Organization (WHO), in partnership with 150 countries, to raise awareness of mental illness and the importance of mental health.

The theme of this year's World Mental Health Day focuses on working as a group to raise awareness about suicide and how the ocean can save lives. According to WHO statistics, one person dies every 40 seconds around the world.

Awareness of health professionals is not limited. Teachers play a role in providing psychological support to students, friends, family and work.

School: Suicide is one of the leading causes of death among children aged 15-19.

In all cases, adulthood is the period when a teenager explores new opportunities and experiences in relationships, study, and academic achievement for the future, sometimes placing a significant burden on them to commit suicide.

Media: According to a report by the World Health Organization, the media plays a major role in promoting or thwart suicide prevention efforts.

Research shows that reports in the media about suicide can increase the risk of suicide due to counterfeit suicides.

Work: Work is beneficial for mental health, but a negative work environment or work-related stress can lead to physical and mental health problems. Plan to support staff and colleagues with mental illness or who may be at risk of suicide.
