Media life is made up of big and small mysteries. And here is a brand new one. A few weeks ago, the Netflix and Amazon platforms announced that they had offered the rights to the South Park series. What had not failed to delight the fans of Cartman, Kyle, Kenny and Stan. But nothing happened as planned.
It starts with Netflix putting online seasons 15 to 21, but without a few episodes. Why ? This is where the subject becomes delusional. Netflix France posted a first tweet to explain that they were forced to delete some episodes on the pretext that they would have been censored in France. Which is false.
Imbroglio
Then comes a second tweet: in fact, Netflix simply would not have the rights to certain episodes, owned by the company Viacom, owner of the Comedy channel that broadcasts South Park .
As for Amazon, that's something else. There is simply not the least season of South Park available.
The imbroglio is total and we come to think that both platforms have communicated a little too quickly, without knowing exactly what their contract contained.
