A tasting party was held in Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture to get familiar with the taste of the Bryde's whales that circulate with the resumption of commercial whaling.

After the tasting, the people who participated received a positive opinion such as “I want to have my grandchildren eat lightly”, while others also said that “sashimi gets cramped over time”.
Noritoshi Kashiwagi, the group secretary of the group, said, “I think everyone was familiar with the taste of the Bryde's whale through the tasting party.”
In the future, the group will continue to promote local whale meat to local elementary schools.
