Jewelery To sell to China via the internet broadcast Yamanashi Oct. 9 8:03

As the domestic market for jewelery shrinks, Yamanashi Prefecture, which has the highest shipment volume nationwide, has embarked on a new attempt to sell local jewelery to Chinese consumers via an Internet broadcast program.

Yamanashi Prefecture has been the top shipping nationwide since 1988, with jewelry and precious metal jewelry shipments, but due to the shrinking domestic market, the shipment amount was 23.9 billion yen at the peak of the Heisei period. It has fallen to about a quarter of two years.

For this reason, the “Yamanashi Central Bank” headquartered in Kofu City has embarked on a new attempt to sell jewelery from Yamanashi Prefecture to Chinese consumers.

Specifically, a studio management company in Tokyo, which has been invited by the Yamanashi Central Bank, will create a studio for internet relay in Kofu City.

Based on this studio, Chinese online mail order giant “Alibaba” will broadcast a Chinese broadcast program selling jewelry from Yamanashi Prefecture via the Internet.

Online mail-order programs are popular as a new way of shopping in China because they can respond to questions from consumers and requests for video switching in real time.

Yamanashi Chuo Bank called on the jewelery traders in the prefecture to exhibit, and Alibaba is planning to start an online broadcast next month, attracting attention as a new attempt to sell special products overseas.
