A former student tells the experience “I was scared and anxious about death” October 8, 18:43

During the Pacific War, a 96-year-old male from a former student gave a lecture at his home university to give his students a chance to pass on the “students who were convened in mid-career due to the worsening of the war situation. He told me of his experience at that time that he started to feel the fear of death.

The lecture was given by Kiyoshi Segawa (96) from Kyoto City, who was convened by a student in college in 1958.

After the send-off party for the students, I was invited as a lecturer to Keio University at my home school before 1976 on the 21st of this month, and told the students about their experiences.

Mr. Segawa said, “I had a great youth until then, but it was so scary that I thought that I would go to the battlefield in the rainy party. "

After joining the Navy, Mr. Segawa was trained in the special attack weapon “Recovery”, where a person enters a torpedo and hits an enemy ship.

Regarding this experience, he said, “If this is your salmon, you will be able to show“ Recovery ”, and even if you do not think about it, you cannot avoid being aware of death, and you were scared and anxious.”

Finally, he called, “I'm envious of the present era where I can freely study and talk with friends.

A fourth-year female student said, “I am blessed to be able to study now. I would like to continue thinking about what the war was like without wasting this opportunity.”
