Yoshiharu Doi Appealing the appeal of Japanese cuisine in the gastronomic city of Lyon 8:51 on October 8, France
An event was held in Lyon, eastern France, known as a city of gastronomy, for a deeper understanding of Japanese cuisine, and Japanese cuisine researchers appealed its appeal.
Lyon is known as a gastronomic town blessed with abundant ingredients such as chicken, river fish and cheese. This month, the first museum of food culture in Japan, funded by the French government, will open.
Japan was selected as the first country for this museum's special exhibition, and an event was held on the 7th in the Lyon City Hall on this occasion to deepen understanding of Japanese cuisine.
Mr. Yoshiharu Doi, a culinary researcher, gave a lecture and appealed the appeal of Japanese foods by making use of the original taste of ingredients by “wedding” rather than mixing ingredients.
A chef man who runs a restaurant in Lyon said, “I want to try out the idea of giving ingredients to French cuisine that I make.”
A special exhibition of the museum that introduces Japanese food culture is planned to be held in October next year, and it seems to be an opportunity to spread Japanese food in a gastronomic city.
