The Emperor and his wife were able to appreciate the performances of traditional Okinawan performing arts that had long been interested in Tokyo on the 7th night.

The Emperor and Mrs. arrived at the National Theater in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo before 7 pm on the 7th, and responded with a big applause from the audience with a smile.

First, a song expressing the feeling of radiance in celebration of the Emperor's throne was performed along with the performances of drums, whistle, and sanshin.

After that, a performance called “Requiem of the Requiem” was created by Fumiko Shida, a Ryukyu dancer who had been in close relationship with the Emperor and his wife for more than 40 years, in the hope of a peaceful world.

When dancers in white costumes such as Shida danced with a lot of emotion, the venue was wrapped in a harsh atmosphere, and the Emperor and his wife were applauded actively.
