Hong Kong rebounds from “mask prohibition” 12:04 on Oct. 7 when the station is destroyed

In Hong Kong, protests were held everywhere on the 6th, as citizens rebounded from the rules prohibiting hiding their faces with masks during protests. Many subway stations have been destroyed, and more than half of the stations cannot be restarted even on the 7th.

On the 6th in Hong Kong, a large number of citizens marched, while some masked youths lit fires at several subway stations and destroyed fire extinguishing equipment.

Even after dawning overnight, 54 stations, more than half of the stations, remain closed, affecting the lives of citizens.

According to local media, two men and women were prosecuted for crimes in violation of these rules during the protests on the 5th when the rules on the prohibition of masks were enforced.

The Hong Kong government issued a statement on the 6th, reiterating that the enforcement of the rules was “a measure to stop violence and disturbance” after stating “slamming the violence of a masked mob”.

However, the “Emergency Situation Ordinance” that the government has enacted to enforce this rule can set various rules without the approval of Congress other than the prohibition of masks. Rumors such as restricting withdrawals are circulating, and the government denies this, resulting in deepening social confusion.

In Hong Kong, a protest rally is called on the SNS on the 7th of the national holiday.
