Turkish citizens found on Thursday evening a child hanged and hung at the door of a cemetery in a district in the Turkish state of Kocaeli, and informed the authorities immediately.

Al-Jisr Turk website revealed the identity of the child, a Syrian named Wael Al-Saud, who is only 9 years old. He hanged himself after facing social rejection at his school because he was Syrian.

Police and ambulance teams came to the scene, and the body of the child, who was examined at the scene, was taken to the morgue.

According to al-Jisr Turk, the child suffered from social exclusion and rejection by his classmates for being Syrian, noting that he was reprimanded on the day of his suicide by a teacher as well.

The incident witnessed a large interaction of Turks on social media, and many expressed dissatisfaction with the high level of hate speech towards Syrian refugees.
