The internal security forces announced the arrest of two people in Beirut, the crime of kidnapping Lebanese in Turkey for ransom, and uncovered the mastermind of the gang. All of them were Syrian nationals, where information was provided to the Turkish authorities for legal action.

In a statement, «Internal Security», that on September 24 (last), the two Lebanese citizens (JA) born in 1961 and (AM) born in 1975, kidnapped, while visiting Turkey for tourism, Unidentified gang members, who were released after a ransom of 24 million Lebanese pounds (about $ 16,000), were released in Lebanon and handed over to kidnappers in Turkey through banking offices in Lebanon and Turkey.
Subsequently, the Information Division, according to the statement, began its field and information procedures between Lebanon and Turkey, to identify the gang members. As a result of the follow-up, I was able to identify the person who received the ransom, called (MA), born in 1989, Syrian national, working in a banking shop belonging to the named (Q) born in 1982, also of Syrian nationality.

The statement pointed out that on September 27, as a result of monitoring operations, patrols of the Division arrested the two men in the locality of Corniche Mazraa, in Beirut, and seized the amount of 200 million Lebanese pounds (about $ 132 thousand) in their possession, including the value of ransom, in addition to To $ 34,000, £ 1950 and bank checks. By investigating the two men, they confessed that the ransom was paid to one of their banking offices in Turkey.

They were arrested on the reference of the competent judiciary, the value of the ransom was returned to the owner, and the rest of the money was seized.
