US President Donald Trump has proposed shooting at the legs of immigrants trying to enter the United States, according to a recent book entitled "Border Wars: A Look at Trump's Offensive Immigration Policy."
The book, prepared by two New York Times journalists, says Trump has proposed "harsh measures to deter immigrants", including building walls with electric current and trenches where snakes and crocodiles roam.
The White House had no comment on the book. The construction of a barrier on the border with Mexico was one of Trump's pledges to tackle immigration.
The Defense Department has allocated $ 3.6 billion to the barrier, which has begun construction.
The book, written by Michael Sher and Julie Davies, is based on interviews with more than a dozen unnamed officials.
