  • Telecinco. And now, who will eat the ross of Pasapalabra?

Telecinco will extend 'Save me' until the news of Pedro Piqueras begins to cover the space previously occupied by the 'Pasapalabra' contest, after the decision of the Supreme Court (TS) that forced Mediaset Spain to stop issuing the format was published that drives Christian Gálvez .

According to the Telecinco programming grid, the editions of 'Save Me Limón' (4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.) and 'Save me Orange' (5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) will continue this Wednesday, October 2 'Save me Banana', from 8:00 p.m. to 9:10 p.m. hours, and rated 'Not suitable for children under 16'.

Just after 'Save Me Banana', the Piqueras news program is scheduled to begin on Wednesday. In the program for Thursday in Telecinco, the contest presented by Gálvez and which has been on the air for more than a decade is still scheduled.

"After receiving the ruling of the Supreme Court on Pasapalabra this afternoon, Mediaset Spain communicates its respect for this decision and its intention to abide by it immediately," the communication group said in a statement posted on Twitter.

The company also explained that, "unless an agreement was previously reached" with the British production company ITV, this Tuesday would be "the last day of the Pasapalabra program broadcast" in the Mediaset chain.

The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by Mediaset Spain against the judgment of the Provincial Court of Madrid on the contract signed with the ITV producer, in relation to the emission rights of 'Pasapalabra'.

The TS has endorsed the ruling of the Provincial Court which, in turn, confirmed that of the Commercial Court number 6 of Madrid in its sentence to Telecinco to "immediately cease" the issuance of the format , being also prohibited "resume in the future , the broadcast, edition, production, reproduction, public communication, distribution, transformation and all and any other form exploitation, by itself or through third parties, of the 'Pasapalabra' program, as well as of any other television program that has an identical format or similar to the program 'Pasapalabra' or that has the designation 'Pasapalabra' ".

The judgment of the High Court collected by Europa Press, of which the magistrate Rafael Sarazá Jimena has been a speaker, is not pronounced in relation to the cessation of the broadcasts of the program in Telecinco since he already rejected most of the appeal filed by Mediaset Spain and, therefore, confirms the decision of the Audience of Madrid that supported the decision of the Commercial Court number 6 of Madrid.
