Ticketing trouble at Osaka Metro and Meitetsu Unknown relationship with consumption tax increase October 1 14:06
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Osaka Metro and Nagoya Railways reported problems that prevented ticketing at some ticket machines at some stations.
Of these, the Osaka Metro was restored at about 7am on all ticket machines.
In all cases, including the Nagoya Railway, the staff at the station led to other ticket machines, so no major problems occurred.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, “I do not know if it will be affected by the consumption tax hike”.
