The 38th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), which will kick off on October 30, will witness the presence of a large number of international creators, including the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, Turkish novelist Orhan Pamuk, and Omani writer Gokha Al-Harthy, who won the World Booker Prize for her novel `` Ladies of the Moon ''.

In the year of the coronation of Sharjah «World Book Capital» participate in the activities of the exhibition, which is organized this year under the slogan «Open a book .. open minds» 2000 publishers from 81 Arab and foreign countries, and the Republic of Mexico guest of honor.

It also hosts the American media show, Steve Harvey, and the Oscar-winning director for the music of his famous slumdog millionaire, Sampuran Karala-Golzar, and Indian poet Vikram Seth.

Some 173 writers and novelists from 68 Arab and foreign countries will participate in the exhibition, offering 987 diverse events distributed among cultural, children's and culinary activities, as well as a range of theatrical works, in addition to comic book drawings and social media.

The exhibition will host Algerian novelist Wassini Araj, Iraqi poet and novelist Inam Kajji, Kuwaiti novelist Buthaina Al-Essa, Tunisian poet Jamila Mejri, and Saudi poet Mohamed Sakran, the star of the Million Poet program.

The audience will be meeting with Italian novelist Elisabetha Dami, British novelist Ella Wakatama Alvaria, American novelist Bernice McFadden, and from India, novelist Anita Nair, actor Gulshan Grover, poet Geet Thiel and others.
