The Minister of Transport and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Railways Company, Dr. Nabil Al-Amoudi, confirmed that the Al-Haramain Express Train will resume its services within 30 days using the new King Abdulaziz Airport Station to serve the residents and visitors of Jeddah.

In addition to the King Abdulaziz Airport Station, the Haramain train will use the stations of Makkah, King Abdullah Economic City and Medina.

This comes in the wake of the fire that broke out recently in the Haramain train station in Sulaimaniya in Jeddah, and the resulting damage.

The ministry said in a statement that the fire did not reach the railway or the electricity systems of the railways, which will enable the operator to re-traffic trains passing from the affected station without stopping it and stop with the rest of other stations, including the new King Abdulaziz Airport Terminal to serve Jeddah.
