Minami-san is a leading singer-songwriter known for hit songs such as “Kandagawa” announced in 1978 as folk group “Kaguya Hime”. After the nuclear accident, she evacuated to Fukushima city. I went to the prefecture energetically, such as having a concert for the people in Iitate village.
The song was written by Madoka Tsuji, a haiku poet who works as a tourism ambassador for the village, and the village asked Minami to compose through Minami-san.
The school song of “Newly Desired Sato Gakuen” created by Mr. Minami and Mr. Tsuji will be completed at the end of January next year.
