The United States again imposed sanctions on Russia, choosing for this one company - Maritime Assistance LLC, three individuals and five ships. The question “For what?” There is no point in asking. As, however, the question "By what right?" The US government may not even bother to issue press releases, because they no longer even imitate compliance with international law.
Imagine: sanctions have been imposed on Russia supplying fuel for its own aviation in Syria. The very aviation that played a key role in the defeat of the banned terrorist organization ISIS * and kept Syria from becoming a gigantic terrorist camp.
I'm not talking about the fact that our state, unlike the international coalition and the Turkish army, is in Syria legally and does not divide the country into zones of personal interests.
Please note: no one but us calls the actions of the United States and its allies intervention, although there are many parallels from 1918-1921, when you could meet anyone on our territory - from the British to the Czechs. Then Russia was charged with refusing to return the debts of tsarist Russia, and Syria owed nothing to the Americans or Turks.
Supporting the legitimate authority, or rather, even protecting the country from the invasion of all kinds of external enemies and the fight against terrorism, which almost took shape in the whole state, is punished with sanctions.
I am sincerely interested: how does the American and European establishment live under such a thick layer of hypocrisy?
No one but us (and Iran) cares about restoring Syria’s infrastructure, returning refugees and ending the war. Our "partners" first turned Syria into another training ground for the "Arab Spring", then into a training camp for thugs, and now into a zone for a geopolitical confrontation with Russia.
The only thing I know for sure is that history will judge us. But, unfortunately, this will not happen soon. In the meantime, we continue to be amazed at how legal nihilism became the state policy of the developed world.
