The RTL 4 program Dancing with the Stars will be half an hour shorter from Saturday. RTL decided to do so because viewers had complained about the length (two and a half hours) of the program.
"We have heard from the viewer that they find Dancing with the Stars on the long side and would like to see more dance," says a spokesperson for RTL on RTL Boulevard.
"We think the viewer's opinion is important and we are happy to respond by shortening the episode, with more focus on dancing."
The last episode of Dancing with the Stars was watched by 571,000 people on Saturday. That was about 230,000 fewer than the week before.
This year Bibian Mentel, Rutger Vink and Gijs Staverman, among others, are participating in the program. Jamie Trenité was forced to give up last week after falling down the stairs in his house.
