Medical reports in Armenia revealed that a woman suffered from a rare condition known as "tears of crystal"
. When Satinik Kazarian, 22, sheds about 50 tears a day, they resemble crystal crystals rather than natural tears, leaving scientists confused. Kazarian has been suffering this situation for two months and initially thought dust had hit her eye.
Ophthalmologists were unable to diagnose or treat her strange condition.
"My days turned into hell, out of pain," Kazarian said.
She added: "Some doctors refused to believe my case, while some prescribed me eye drops and antibiotics, failed to alleviate the problem I am suffering." Samples of crystals were sent for analysis at the Ministry of Health, for diagnosis.
