The H2B rocket carrying the Japanese space transport ship “Kounotori” No. 8 which was postponed due to a fire at the launch pad was launched from Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture at around 1:20 am As expected, the launch was successful at the altitude of 287 km and the "Kototori" was cut off.
Kounotori No. 8 is loaded with approximately 5.3 tons of supplies such as water and food for astronauts staying at the International Space Station, and batteries, and will arrive at the International Space Station on the 28th of this month.
