An Austrian couple mistakenly received 25,000 xtc pills while the couple ordered clothing from a webshop. The couple discovered the error when they noticed that the box was very heavy when they received the package, the Austrian police reported on Monday.
At first, the woman who had placed her order at a Dutch webshop thought it was decorative stones. However, her husband did not trust it and took the package back to the post office.
The value is estimated by the Austrian police at around 500,000 euros. Research shows that the xtc pills should have been sent to Scotland. It is unclear how the package ended up in Austria.
Because the package also contained references to the intended Scottish recipient, the Scottish police took over the case. They were able to arrest someone.
