Around 4:20 in the morning, Yoji Takei (94), a wooden one-story house in Miyagawa, Chino City, reported fire to a firefighter from a neighbor.
The fire was extinguished after about 4 hours, but one house was burnt and two people were found in the dead body.
According to the police, Mr. Takei lives with his 92-year-old wife, a daughter in his 60s, and at that time, the daughter was absent from work, and after the fire, he was unable to contact the couple.
The police are confirming the identity of the body and are investigating the cause of the fire in detail.
